Mandelyn Erikson – 16U Assistant Coach

Mandelyn joins our 16U coaching staff as an Assistant Coach for the 2026–27 season, working alongside Head Coach Mackenzie Coyle and Assistant Coach Carlos Navarrete. A longtime member of the Jr Cascades coaching community and a former Jr Cascades Head Coach, she brings more than ten years of coaching experience at multiple levels of the game.

Mandelyn is an Advanced Development Certified coach and a proud alumna of the UFV Women’s Volleyball team, where she played as a middle from 2013 to 2017. She knows what it means to wear the Cascades jersey, which gives her a unique perspective on the pathway from youth volleyball to university volleyball. She has also been part of the Team BC provincial program, including as an assistant coach with the Women’s Red team.

Her journey in volleyball is unique; she started playing later than most, joining the Thunder Volleyball Club in grade 10. Despite the late start, Mandelyn’s dedication and talent quickly shone through, earning her a spot in the Team BC Zone program. Her passion for the game and personal experience as a player drive her to inspire and guide young athletes in their volleyball journeys.
